Brush Up on Our Dentist's Expertise
Dr. Charley Levy DDS
Dr. Charley Levy attended Cornell University where he received his B.A. in Economics. Following Cornell, Dr. Levy attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, he was the lead author of two journal articles published in the New York State Dental Journal and the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After graduating from Columbia, Dr. Levy spent 2 years of residency training in oral surgery at Weill Cornell. As a result of this intensive training, he became proficient in all of the basics of oral surgery. This included extraction of teeth, placement of dental implants and the ability to work with medically compromised patients. His last 2 years of post-graduate training were at Montefiore Medical Center and Columbia University where he concentrated on the more advanced aspects of general dentistry. In addition to complex dental restorations, he gained extensive experience in restoring dental implants. The 4 years of training after dental school provided an unusual opportunity to become proficient in all areas of general dentistry.

OUR CROWING ACHEIVEMENTS
100+ reviews
My daughter has her Invisalign treatment with Dr. Charley and is having the most incredible success, she loves his approach, super careful review of each step and his enthusiasm with her progress! Her teeth look great so far and she is thrilled. Highly recommended across the board as my entire family travels in from NJ because his entire practice is worth the tolls and parking!
The entire staff of Central Park Dentistry is always professional and helpful.  They listen to your concerns and ensure all of your questions are answered.  The staff from the receptionists, dental assistants, hygienists, dentists, and billing personnel ensure you are taken care of and do so in a professional and courteous manner.
Had a 12/10 experience with CPD and Dr Levy! He went above and beyond to ensure a perfect cosmetic result from my 6-month Invisalign treatment course.  Veronika was also exceptional in working with my insurances, as I moved to CA and accepted a new job half way through my treatment.  Beyond grateful for CPD
Simply the best. Dr. Levy is easy going and friendly, he takes the time to explain everything, his work is second to none and he genuinely cares. Having been to many dentists in the past, I can say from vast experience Dr. Levy and his staff make you almost look forward to going to the dentist.
Dr. Paul Scheier is a brilliant dentist, with meticulous standards and wonderful, warm care for his patients. His latest work with me involved restoration of a front tooth that was pretty close to miraculous. I am very grateful to him!
I came here looking for a second opinion on getting braces. Staff offered encouragement and clear cut information. The technology they used helped to visualize the issue. They took the time to understand my needs and gave multiple options for moving forward.

FAQ

Questions
How often should I visit the dentist?

It is recommended to visit the dentist for a regular check-up and cleaning every six months. However, your dentist may suggest more frequent visits based on your individual oral health needs.

What should I do if I have a toothache?

If you experience a toothache, rinse your mouth with warm water and use dental floss to remove any food particles stuck between your teeth. If the pain persists, contact your dentist for an appointment as soon as possible. You can also take over-the-counter pain medication to help alleviate discomfort until you can see your dentist.

How can I prevent cavities?

To prevent cavities, brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, and limit sugary and acidic foods and beverages. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings are also essential for maintaining good oral health.

What are the signs of gum disease?

Signs of gum disease include red, swollen, or tender gums, bleeding while brushing or flossing, persistent bad breath, receding gums, and loose or shifting teeth. If you notice any of these symptoms, schedule an appointment with your dentist.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept most major dental insurance plans, as well as cash, credit cards, and financing options through third-party providers. Please contact our office for more information on specific payment options and to verify your insurance coverage.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

In case of a dental emergency, such as a knocked-out tooth, severe toothache, or broken dental appliance, contact our office immediately. We reserve time in our daily schedule for emergency appointments and will provide you with instructions on how to handle your situation until you can see the dentist.

Are dental X-rays safe?

Yes, modern dental X-rays are safe. The amount of radiation exposure from a dental X-ray is minimal, and dentists take precautions to minimize exposure by using lead aprons and collars. X-rays are an essential diagnostic tool for detecting dental issues that may not be visible during a regular exam.
